Krooz TV not working? Start here

Most KroozTV problems come down to one of four things: the login, the device, the connection, or (less often than people think) the server. This page goes through them in the order that fixes things fastest. If you’re still stuck at the end, WhatsApp us and we check your line from our side.

Is Krooz TV down right now?

Quick way to tell: try a second channel and a second device. If one channel fails and others play, that channel’s source is down, which happens and is usually fixed within the hour. If every channel fails on every device, either your internet or your line has a problem.

We don’t run a public status page, because a green light on a website doesn’t tell you anything about your own line. Message us and we’ll tell you straight whether there is a server-side problem and how long it should take.

The 2-minute checklist

  1. Close the player completely (not just Home) and reopen it.
  2. Restart the device. On Firestick, hold Select + Play for five seconds.
  3. Unplug the router for 30 seconds and plug it back in.
  4. Check nobody else is using your screens. A one-screen plan stops when a second device starts playing.
  5. Check your subscription date in the player’s account section. An expired line looks exactly like an outage.

Buffering and freezing

Buffering means the player’s reserve of video ran out faster than your connection could refill it. Work through these in order:

  • Run a speed test on the TV itself, not on your phone. You want 15–25 Mbps for HD and 30+ for 4K, at the time you normally watch.
  • Go wired or get closer. An Ethernet cable or a powerline adapter fixes more buffering than any app setting.
  • Pick a lower quality copy of the channel. Many channels exist in FHD and HD; the HD copy needs about half the bandwidth.
  • Change the player’s stream format. In IPTV Smarters: Settings → Player selection. In TiviMate: Playlist settings → Stream format. Switch between HLS (m3u8) and MPEG-TS and test both.
  • Increase the buffer. Most players let you raise the buffer size in their settings. It adds a second or two before playback starts but prevents most stutters.
  • Watch the evening pattern. If it only buffers from 8 to 11 pm, your internet provider is congested. Tell us; we can check the route from our side.

Black screen, no sound, or the app keeps crashing

  • Black screen with sound: switch the player’s video decoder between hardware and software.
  • Picture with no sound: change the audio track in the player (some channels carry two), or turn off "audio passthrough".
  • App closes by itself: clear the app cache (Settings → Applications → the player → Clear cache). Don’t clear data unless you want to re-enter the login.
  • Only on one channel: the channel source is down. Try its other quality version, or let us know which one.

The TV guide (EPG) is empty or wrong

Force a guide update in the player (TiviMate: Settings → EPG → Update EPG; Smarters: reload the playlist). If times are shifted by an hour or more, set the correct time zone in the player’s EPG settings. Some smaller channels have no guide data at all; that is the broadcaster, not your setup.

Krooz TV not working on Firestick specifically

  • Free up storage: Fire TV needs about 500 MB free to play smoothly.
  • Turn off Settings → Preferences → Data Monitoring.
  • Use the HDMI extender cable from the box to improve Wi-Fi.
  • On older sticks, use a lighter player such as XCIPTV.
  • If nothing helps, reinstall the player from our link. See the Firestick guide.

Still not working? What to send us

Send us on WhatsApp: your username, the device and player, what you see (a photo of the screen is perfect), and whether it’s every channel or just one. With that, most cases are sorted in one reply. Support options.

Questions people ask

Why does Krooz TV keep buffering at night?

Evening is peak time for internet providers. If daytime is fine and evenings buffer, the bottleneck is usually the local network. A wired connection, an HD copy of the channel and a bigger player buffer help most.

Why is Krooz TV not loading after I renewed?

Close the player fully and reopen it so it fetches the new expiry date. If it still shows expired, message us your username.

Why does one channel not work when others do?

That channel’s source is temporarily down. Try its alternative quality, and tell us the name so we can chase it.

Can I get a refund if it never works?

Yes. If a technical fault we can’t fix stops you watching in the first seven days, the refund policy applies.
